Job Function Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Product Management candidate who will lead the company's product strategy and development plans for a specific partner Mobile OS such as Windows Mobile, embedded Linux, Android, or Symbian on Qualcomm chipsets, enabling our customers a wider variety of application platforms for their next generation wireless devices.

A successful candidate will perform all functions related to Product Management of the Mobile OS-related technology product line, align roadmaps with peers in the Silicon Product Management team, and work with the company's outbound marketing team to communicate the message. He or she will also manage a select set of closely tied ecosystem partners as part of the role.

Key tasks will include the need to meet with customers and prospects to identify and prioritize requirements, and then work with Engineering to define a product roadmap. Areas of focus will include the boot code and BSP/drivers for the base 3rd party OS, drivers for the user interface technology, integration of Qualcomm's multimedia engines into the OS, and integration between the OS and modem communication stack. These tasks will be aligned with rollout plans for specific chipsets.

The candidate will also work on promoting the Mobile OS related solution on Qualcomm chipsets to customers and prospects; both through direct customer interaction, as well as working with the outbound marketing team on collateral, speaking events, and articles.

She or he will also act as the primary contact to a set of close ecosystem partners, to ensure tight roadmap alignment with Qualcomm's Mobile OS-related silicon roadmap.
Skills/Experience 5 plus years experience in Product Management/Development in one of the following end markets; embedded software/firmware, cellular wireless silicon, system on chip semiconductors. Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle; and 3 or more years in a product management role.

Detailed knowledge of the architecture of Mobile OS systems such as Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian, or Linux board support packages, Internet Protocol and USB networking a must.

Responsibilities Knowledge of voice and multimedia communications standards and key ecosystem technology providers are a plus.
Education Requirements Education Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering discipline is required, MBA preferred
