Job Overview Qualcomm's QCT Application Engineering Group supports customers with all aspects of embedded software and systems development. This includes assisting OEMs with designs, providing training, debugging, assistance in optimizing and integrating software. We are seeking candidates to support new camera use cases and issues from Qualcomm China customers. The candidate is expected to work on the following aspects: Provide direct support to OEMs with the design, development and debug of Qualcomm reference designs s/w related issues Quickly assimilate onto an existing project, understand s/w driver architecture, read/write technical specifications/requirements, demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products. Support Qualcomm customer to enable different camera solutions and use cases. Work with customer to enable Qualcomm new camera feature and algorithms on customer projects. Some travels will be required in order to collaborate across multiple locations. Skills Strong background and hands-on experience in camera module and bring up related areas. Understand image process pipeline and camera HW architecture. Familiar with Android/Linux driver architecture and experience on debug related issues. Strong software development skills, C and C++ programming, problem analysis, and debugging skills. Knowledge in real-time microprocessor-based embedded programming and embedded real-time operating systems. Good English communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
2+ years experience with debugging techniques.
2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in one or more core level multimedia devices. Solid understanding of computer system architecture (core, cache, memory models, bus architecture, etc.) and common hardware blocks for security access control (e.g., crypto acceleration, OTP, MPU, etc.). Ability to derive, document, and present high-level system requirements from the associated detailed technology requirements. Experience with Linux / Android development is preferred. Proficiency in English ( both oral and written) is a big plus.
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
