Job Overview
  • The successful candidate should able to understand technical and issues related to all 3GPP, 3GPP2 technologies and have good/better knowledge on Radio Frequency, Microwave & Network optimization skills. It requires the ability to work closely with wireless vendors, Engineering teams on all aspects associated with the design, optimization and ongoing operation of 802.11/GSM/2G/3G/CDMA/UMTS/LTE(4G)/5G/IoT/NBIoT networks.
  • Position requires significant customer interaction and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Some travel domestic may be required. Work with wireless infrastructure vendors to select and deploy 802.11/GSM/2G/3G/CDMA/UMTS/LTE(4G)/5G/IoT networks with various aspects including air interface, devices, and applications for internal test environments.
  • Proficient in some or most areas of electrical engineering, computers, wireless protocols, wireless physical layer protocols, RF transmission lines, antennas, RF propagation, RF test/lab equipment, digital signal processing, wireless technologies and protocols, and simulators.
  • Understand & prior work knowledge with WPC India. (Wireless Planning Commission), which would help our internal team to make technology documentation in seeking operating licenses from WPC.
  • Create capacity planning standards and guidelines for networks continued expansion, with the ability to grasp Core Network design, functionality & handle its operations.
  • Able to use organizational skills for purposes of planning and decision-making. This includes developing and communicating objectives, timelines, assignments, and goals. This also includes the ability to scope projects, orchestrate multiple activities at once, and use resources efficiently across functional areas within the enterprise.
  • Mentoring, coaching, guiding technically expertise folks/team from time to time.
  • WirelessOne services along with team roles & responsibilities, tools & techniques. This also includes the ability to plan activities within a project stage and report its progress.
  • Creates team & work goals and prioritizes deliverables with guidance from Internal IT & Engineering stakeholders.
  • Review and approve project plans for small- to medium-sized projects which include schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.
  • Assists with WirelessOne team financials by monitoring and tracking financial aspects of assigned project/Technology deployment initiatives and executing plan financials.
  • Supports Wireless technology deployment plans by following best practices and procedures.
  • Should be well organized, resourceful & planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.
  • Executive level customer service skills with the innate sense of urgency, diplomacy and effective written & verbal communication skills are mandatory.
  • Work in fast paced dynamic environment & under high pressure.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Communicates with Engineering & Internal stakeholders to establish needs and goals and executes communication/change management plan for Wireless One services.
  • Manages team performance & be accountable for the operations, monthly dashboards & relevant SLAs.
  • Supports the compliance of wireless Technologies plans by following best practices and procedures according to the changes in the law of the land.
  • Collaborates with key Engineering stakeholders and sponsors to develop road map, team goals, set the prioritization of deliverables, discuss involvement of engineering processes and facilitate decisions necessary for delivery.
  • Established experience of Mobile/Wireless cellular (802.11/GSM/CDMA/UMTS/LTE(4G)/5G/IoT) systems. Background in protocol stack, standards, verification, call processing, and data networks is a plus.
  • Proficient in some areas of electrical engineering, computers, wireless protocols, wireless physical layer protocols, RF transmission lines, antennas, RF propagation, RF test/lab equipment, digital signal processing, wireless technologies and protocols, and simulators.
  • Experience with data services--knowledge of protocols such as TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6/SIP.
  • Should posses with excellent project/program management skills for at least 5+ years & handled mid-large size deployments.
  • Should be good in analytical skills, decision making, building trusting relationships, knows to drive success & Customer Focused.
  • Excellent in written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Mentoring, coaching, guiding technically expertise folks/team from time to time.
  • Team player with strong customer service orientation.

  • Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Telecommunication or MCA, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience - 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in cellular industry/company.
  • Advance background in 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards
  • Experience with data services--knowledge of protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP
  • Experience with RF services and products.
