In this role you will be working on advanced front-end modules for cellular/wireless applications as part of the Qualcomm's RF Front-End (RFFE) Department.

The position offers the opportunity to design advanced RF Front-End Modules to ensure design success and market leadership. Qualcomm solutions include highly customized LNAs, PAs, Filters, antenna tuner and multi-throw switches in standalone and module packages for 4G and 5G wireless cell phone and ultra-mobile devices. The RF Filter Integration Engineer will integrate RF filters with printed and discrete elements to deliver Front-End Module optimized designs in a fast-paced team environment and is required to work closely with RF IC and Acoustic design engineers to optimize a design by extensive co-simulation and co-design based on RF system knowledge.

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • RF Filter design, integration, matching, simulation and testing
  • Multilayer laminate design, layout, simulation and testing
  • Solving complex RF technical issues with techniques developed in Qualcomm
  • Participating and conducting design reviews
  • Specifying and driving filter development to achieve best in class in-module system-level performance
  • Performing lab measurements and correlation with FEM Module E2E (End to End) simulation

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
  • Design and Measurement of RF/microwave devices
  • Usage of test equipment such as VNA/PNA/PXA
  • Solid understanding of RF fundamentals such as Smith chart and impedance matching
  • Simulations Tools like HFSS and ADS
  • RF Filter knowledge
  • Experience in SAW/BAW/FBAR acoustics design
  • Usage of Laminate design tools like RF SiP
  • Experience in RF Front-End module design
  • Knowledge in power amplifier, filters and RF switches
  • Familiar with mobile wireless communication standards and requirements for 3G/4G/5G
